Metro Corp.'s Boston Magazine cuts costs and searches for a new location
Prior to the onset of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic in March of 2020, Boston Magazine elected to relocate its office to a new neighborhood of the city. Following 35 years of being located at the city’s Horticultural Hall, Metro Corp.’s subsidiary announced that it will not renew its $22.0 million lease and instead will be searching for a new experience within Boston. In the age of digital media, the organization is prioritizing cutting costs and will seek a smaller office space as many individuals now work remotely, eliminating the need for a large location.
