With rise in buy now, pay later, TransUnion introduced a new feature to keep up
Buy now, pay later (BNPL) providers have become increasingly common for a customer to make purchases, but these interest-free installments were not included in credit reporting. However, TransUnion’s credit report competitor began including BNPL information in credit scores. In response, TransUnion launched this feature to give users the opportunity to include BNPL. However, users must choose to have BNPL in their accounts, leaving their current scores largely unchanged.
