Moody’s discontinues commercial operations in Russia following invasion of Ukraine
In response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February, 2022, Moody’s Corporation has suspended all of its commercial operations in Russia. While this suspension includes both Moody’s Investor Services and Moody’s Analytics operations, the company has promised to continue supporting its employees in Russia. Additionally, Moody’s will continue to maintain analytical coverage of existing ratings from outside of Russia. As companies have ceased operations in the country, Moody’s has lowered Russia’s credit rating to Ca, the second-lowest rung of its ratings ladder.
