APA Group is a locally owned public stapled security, deriving revenue from the operation of energy infrastructure assets and businesses, as well as asset management and energy investment services. APA Group employs approximately 1,900 people, operates throughout Australia and in the United States, and is administered by its head office in Sydney.

APA Group is a stapled security consisting of units in APA Infrastructure Trust stapled to units in APA Investment Trust. The group trades as a single entity on the ASX under the code APA.

The principal activities of APA Group are the ownership and operation of energy infrastructure comprising the following segments:

Gas Transmission

• Gas Transmission Services - Transportation of gas through grid located through the eastern and western seaboards and central Australia
• Gas Storage - Gas and LNG storage services in Mondarra, WA, and Dandenong, VIC
• Central Region Pipelines - APA operates the following pipelines: Amadeus Gas Pipeline (AGP), Bonaparte Gas Pipeline (BGP), SEA Gas Pipeline (SGP), and South East South Australia Pipeline (SESA). 
• East Coast Grid - APA operates the following pipelines: Berwyndale Wallumbilla Pipeline, Carpentaria Gas Pipeline, Central Ranges Pipeline, Central West Pipeline, Roma Brisbane Pipeline, Moomba Sydney Pipeline, South West Queensland Pipeline, The Victorian Transmission System, Wallumbilla Gladstone Pipeline, and Reedy Creek Wallumbilla Pipeline. 
• West Coast Grid - APA operates the following systems: Pilbara Pipeline System, Parmelia Gas Pipeline, Mid West Pipeline, Kalgoorlie Kambalda Pipeline, Goldfields Gas Pipeline, and Eastern Goldfields Pipeline System.  

Gas Distribution

• Gas Distribution operations to homes and businesses in South Australia, Victoria, Queensland, country New South Wales, and the Northern Territory through the Allgas and Tamworth gas distribution networks.

Asset Management

• Asset and operational services for APA and third-party infrastructure.
• Management of power generation, gas rotating plant and equipment, stationary engines, and gas transmission and distribution pipelines.

Other Energy Services

• Gas-Fired Power Generation - Operation of the Diamantina, X41, and Daandine Power Stations
• Wind Farms - Operation of the Emu Downs and North Brown Hill farms, and the Badgingarra Wind Development Project
• Electricity Interconnectors - Operation of the Murray link and Direct link interconnectors on behalf of Energy Infrastructure Investments.
